Administrative Document
This collection consists of administrative documents related to the operations of several Civil War regiments from Oneida County, New York (mainly the 117th Infantry Regiment). It includes such items as special orders, equipment requests, expense reports, transportation reports, prisoner lists, guard duty schedules, a letter of resignation, and returns of clothing and weapons.
This collection includes digitized images and transcriptions of the 53 hand-written documents. The images are accessed through links within the transcriptions.
The 117th NYSV Infantry Regiment mustered in on February 18, 1862 in Oneida county, New York in which Hamilton College is located.
These documents were digitized by Backstage Library Works of Orem, Utah at 600 dpi, saved as uncompressed TIFF. They delivered to Hamilton College the TIFF images and JPEG derivatives.
Transcriptions of the documents were made by Backstage Library Works who also encoded them as TEI P5 files.
